Knitting Korner

At StitchSpace we allow you to schedule your classes one at a time, but we recommend students sign up for a series of 2-4 classes. In this series of courses you will learn the skills needed to make your own scarves, hats, bags and dishcloths to name a few.

In class one you will learn how to cast on and form the knit stitch (garter stitch) and how to cast off.
In class two you will learn the purl stitch and if time permits the stockinette stitch.
Class three will be about increasing and decreasing.
In class four we can begin working on a knitting project of your choice using the skills we’ve learned in the previous classes.

Along with instruction from our knitting teacher Michayla Van Treeck, beginners will receive practice yarn to continue working on their skills at their leisure. Starter needles will be available for $5 or you are welcome to bring your own.

This class is also open for students who have some basic experience and wish to sign up for part three and four.

Kids and adults welcome
